I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Amazing authentic food, great family running it and the best hand made margarita's you can find! So far I have liked everything on the menu, bad part is, it's hard to choose what to order.
This is a family run restaurant and grandma does all the cooking, so don't go if you are in a hurry. Go when you have time to relax, visit with whomever you go with and drink!
Note - They serve 1 basket chips/salsa at dinner per party, but if you request, you can pay and get them at lunch. -

Should have left this review a long time ago as we've been coming here for at least 7-8 years.
Anyways, my wife and I decided to have dinner tonight at Mitzils and as usual we were not disappointed.
We started with a round of their yummy margaritas and the queso with chorizo served with flour tortillas. My wife is on a special diet and she was accommodated with absolutely no problems working around her food preferences.
Our dinner was splendid and we left full, happy and with a few morsels left over to take home. All of this for under $50 for the two of us which included 4 drinks and an appetizer.
Thank you Mitzil for being such a great part of Oregon City and and may you enjoy continued success now and in the future. -

I had to give them the extra star because as I try other items on the menu the more impressed I have become. The chicken dishes, the beef in negro sauce, the amazing flan.....Coca-Cola made with cane sugar (real Coke, not the fake U.S. made crap). For example, just try a bite of rice with nothing else......just the plain rice has a hint of flavor, do the same with the beans.....scratch made goodness.

We are local and had heard good things. My hubs had his birthday and we decided to try here instead of our regular place. We will not be back.
Service was horrendously slow, drinks took over a half hour, my son's "tacos" were embarrassingly bad with pathetic proportion of runny chicken and they stunk like bad meat. The adult plates tasted good mostly, the rice was crunchy though, and the margs were barely ehh. Also, the chips tasted like they were fried in rancid oil and the salsa was watery.
Well, we tried it. Oh well.
*update: we also got overcharged by $15 once the credit card charge came thru and now we have to deal with that. Not pleased. -

Let me start by saying this place is AUTHENTIC. Not giant burrito smothered in sauce food that most people are accustomed to. Repeat: Most authentic Mexican food in Oregon City. Their mole is life changing!!!! I reccomend you try that first! This cute little spot is right up the street from me and it's a match made in mexican food heaven! I recently tried something different called Molotes with the chicken and it was beyond delicious! This place is a MUST try! They give you an assortment for fresh made salsas to go with your meal and they are all devine!! The smoked chipotle salsa is my favorite though! I could drink that straight from the bottle. This place is the closest to Mexico City food I've ever gotten to.Take. All. My. Money. Mitzil.
